Camps and Clinics
YPA has provided grants and clinics to the following groups and organizations for pickleball programs that included over 500 children:
Palm Beach County Police Athletic League (PAL)
PAL provides free recreation and education programs to the youth of Palm Beach County via Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
People of Purpose
A non-profit community-based corporation established in 2020 to provide citizens returning from incarceration (youth in this case) with the tools for successful and productive lives. Their goal is to actively engage a group of young people to have an affirmative interaction in a safe and positive environment, encouraging them to continue play after the camp.
Urban Youth Impact
A faith-based nonprofit organization started in 1977 that weekly serves over 300 at-risk inner-city youth in Palm Beach County, primarily through an award-winning after-school program.
Zuhre’s World
A nonprofit helping homeless children and families with food, school supplies, clothing, social and educational support.
Palm Beach Youth Academy
A residential facility for youth who are required by a judge to stay in the care of the Department of Juvenile Justice for an extended time.
Adopt-a-Family
A nonprofit helping families experiencing homelessness with children in need of enriching afterschool care and academic support.
King’s Academy
An interdenominational Christian school that serves all of Palm Beach County.
Friends of Thai Daughters
A Maine based nonprofit that provides three safe residences in northern Thailand for young girls who have been orphaned or discarded and face significant risks of becoming victims of human trafficking, child marriage, abuse and exploitation.
Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation
Summer Discovery Camp programed to integrate structured life skills education with physical activity to promote holistic development.
City of Riviera Beach Parks and Recreation
Riviera Beach is 65% African American with over 75% of the school age youth on free or reduced lunch. Their goal was to introduce their youth to a sport that can be played for a lifetime.
Integrated Healthcare Systems
A nonprofit providing primary care, behavioral healthcare, case management, and housing to the community.
Els for Autism
A nonprofit working to transform the lives of people with autism and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships.
